Dogs truly are the best companions in video games, and in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, Mutt is Henry's loyal canine friend. Unfortunately, Mutt goes missing early in the game's storyline, but fear not—we're here to guide you through the process of reuniting with him.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location
Locating Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* involves a dedicated side quest, but we can streamline your journey. You'll find Mutt near a wolf cave, situated southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river's bathing spot. Below, you'll find a screenshot to help pinpoint his location.
The most efficient route to Mutt is by fast traveling to the Nomads’ Camp and then heading southwest along the path into the forest. This should bring you directly above the cave. As you draw near, listen for Mutt's whines, which will guide you to a clearing near the cave where Mutt and some wolves await.
Approaching the area will trigger a cutscene introducing Mutt and the wolves, along with a tutorial on how to command Mutt in combat. You'll have the option to either fight the wolves or escape. Wolves and wild animals in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* are manageable opponents, so taking them on can provide a great opportunity to hone your combat skills.
Once the wolves are dealt with, Mutt becomes your loyal companion. You can interact with him by holding L1 while looking at him, allowing you to feed him from your inventory or send him back to your home.
Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest
It's worth noting that you might encounter the wolf cave during the Invaders side quest, especially if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry follows Vasko uphill to fetch more liquor, and the quest leads you straight to the cave. This triggers the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, and you'll need to deal with them while intoxicated.
I recommend handling the wolf situation during the day and rescuing Mutt before proceeding with the Invaders quest. Attempting to manage the wolves while drunk and in the dark can be extremely challenging, and even fleeing could result in a fatal fall due to poor visibility.
And that's how you find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
