Digimon Alysion: A New Mobile TCG Enters Development

At the March 20 livestream event, Bandai Namco revealed Digimon Alysion—an upcoming free-to-play mobile trading card game. Designed to rival popular titles like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, this digital TCG allows players to collect franchise-favorite Digimon cards, build strategic decks, and battle opponents. Notably, the game may incorporate a narrative-driven story mode alongside standard competitive play.

Bandai's announcement showcased gameplay previews and introduced the story mode's all-female cast: Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside the new Gemmon Digimon. While no release date was confirmed, a closed beta test is planned with further updates to follow.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger Updates

DIGIMON CON 2025 also delivered fresh insights into Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara confirmed three starter Digimon from the original Adventure anime—Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon—alongside a roster exceeding 450 creatures, including fan favorites like Agumon and Gallantmon. This marks the series' largest collection to date.

Players will choose between dual protagonists, Dan or Kanan Yuki, working for the time-travel focused ADAMAS organization. Joined by heroine Inori Misono and her Aegiomon partner, they'll navigate a narrative weaving through different eras. The event also celebrated the franchise's 25th anniversary with new TCG products and an October 2025 anime premiere, Digimon Beatbreak.
