Destiny Child is Reborn: A New Idle RPG from Com2uS

Destiny Child, the popular mobile game, is making a triumphant return! Initially launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, Com2uS has partnered with ShiftUp to revitalize the franchise. This isn't just a re-release, however; it's a completely reimagined experience.

A Fresh Take on a Classic

Com2uS has commissioned ShiftUp to develop a brand-new Destiny Child game, this time an idle RPG. Development will be spearheaded by Com2uS subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for their work on the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics. While retaining the beloved 2D character art and emotional core of the original, the new game will feature a completely overhauled gameplay system.

Remembering the Past

The original Destiny Child captivated players with its charming characters and real-time combat. Following its closure after almost seven years, ShiftUp released a "Memorial" version, allowing players to revisit the game's stunning artwork.

This Memorial app, accessible only to players with pre-shutdown accounts (requiring verification), offers a nostalgic trip down memory lane. While battles are unavailable, players can still admire their cherished Childs and their unique designs. The Memorial version is available on the Google Play Store, offering a final chance to revisit the past before the new game's release.
