"Deadlock Update: Calico Nerfed, Sinclair Reworked"
Valve keeps us on our toes with their frequent updates for Deadlock, and the latest one, though small, brings significant changes to four heroes. Calico has taken a substantial nerf: her Return to Shadows ability now has a cooldown that's ten seconds longer, and 20% of the speed has been shifted to T2. Additionally, the damage from her T2 Leaping Slash has been reduced.
Sinclair, on the other hand, has seen some enhancements with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex has been transformed into an Area of Effect (AoE) ability. Both Holliday and Wraith have also been nerfed, indicating a shift in their gameplay dynamics.
The update didn't spare items either. Ammo Scavenger now provides fewer stacks and no longer offers a health bonus. Meanwhile, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot have lost their Fire Rate and Weapon Damage bonuses, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first for February. Valve has shifted its approach to game development, moving away from a fixed patch schedule. Updates are now released as needed, and today's update is a prime example of this new strategy in action.
