Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as Playable Character
In an unexpected crossover, football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is set to join the roster of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a playable character. Known globally as one of the greatest footballers of all time, alongside Lionel Messi, Ronaldo's inclusion marks one of the most unique guest appearances in fighting game history. Developed and published by SNK Corporation, the game will launch with Ronaldo as part of its initial lineup, blending his athletic prowess with the game's comic-inspired art style.
Ronaldo's character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves utilizes his football skills in combat, featuring moves like the "Headed Clearance" and a slide tackle. Fans will also recognize his iconic 'Siuuu' celebration, although Ronaldo's voice is provided by actor Juan Felipe Sierra. The official description of Ronaldo's character states:
One of the top football players in the world. He uses his time off to visit South Town to hone his new football skills. The various techniques he has developed playing football make him an unstoppable force, even to seasoned fighters.
Currently, the 40-year-old forward plays for Al Nassr FC in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which is part of the Saudi Pro League and majority-owned by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), chaired by crown prince Mohammed bin Salman. Interestingly, SNK Corporation is now almost entirely owned by the Saudi crown prince's foundation.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is scheduled to launch on April 24, 2025, promising a dynamic art style, a mix of new and returning fighters, and updated battle systems. This game aims to deliver an engaging experience for both fans of the series and newcomers alike.
