Lunar New Year event: January 29 – February 2

The Lunar New Year 2025 event in Pokémon GO runs until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time, offering a delightful way to celebrate the Chinese New Year. As it's the Year of the Snake, you'll see an increased spawn rate of snake-themed Pokémon such as:

• Ekans (Shiny can be found)
• Onix (Shiny can be found)
• Snivy (Shiny can be found)
• Darumaka (Shiny can be found)
• Dunsparce (Shiny can be found)
• Gyarados (Shiny can be found)

The event also includes bonuses like a higher chance of obtaining Lucky Pokémon through trades and becoming Lucky Friends with other Trainers. Additionally, participants can unlock daily Field Research tasks to earn free PokéCoins. The 2KM Egg pool during the event will hatch:

Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9

Following the Lunar New Year, Pokémon GO players can experience the thrill of encountering Dynamax Moltres during the Legendary Flight event from February 3 to 9. Dynamax Moltres will be available as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM on February 3. After this hour, Moltres will still be available until February 9, though at fewer Power Spots due to the presence of other Max Battle bosses like Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble until February 10. Be prepared to explore your local area to find this legendary firebird.

Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9

On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a special dual Community Day for Karrablast and Shelmet. During these three hours, you'll have increased encounters, making it the perfect time to farm candies. Evolve Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM to get Escavalier with the Charged Attack Razor Shell or Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. There are numerous event bonuses, and for a smoother experience, you can purchase premium Timed Research for US$2.00 or its local equivalent.

Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15

The Road to Unova event, leading up to the Pokémon GO Tour Unova: Global event, will run from Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM to Saturday, March 1. This week-long event features the debut of Shiny Meloetta, a variety of Raids with Gen-5 Legendaries, increased spawn rates for Unovan starter Pokémon, and premium Timed Research with bonuses.
