Scump attributes much of the problem to the premature release of the ranked mode, coupled with a severely ineffective anti-cheat system leading to rampant cheating.

This sentiment is echoed by other streamers. FaZe Swagg, for instance, dramatically switched to Marvel Rivals during a live stream, frustrated by persistent connectivity issues and an overwhelming number of cheaters, even displaying a live counter of hackers encountered.

Further compounding the issue is the substantial nerfing of the zombies mode, hindering the acquisition of desirable cosmetic items. The game's abundance of cosmetic microtransactions stands in stark contrast to a perceived lack of substantial gameplay improvements.
