Blizzard is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a surprising collaboration: a Candy Crush Saga event! From November 22nd to December 6th, players can join the festivities.

Choose your allegiance: Team Tiffi (Humans) or Team Yeti (Orcs). Compete in the Warcraft Games, a series of team-vs-team challenges with qualifiers, knockouts, and a final showdown for a chance to win 200 in-game gold bars.

An Unexpected Alliance?

This partnership between the iconic Warcraft franchise and the popular match-3 game, Candy Crush Saga, is certainly unexpected. However, given the massive success of both franchises and their shared connection through Activision Blizzard, the collaboration makes a strange sort of sense. It also highlights Warcraft's mainstream appeal, reaching an audience beyond its core fanbase.
