Thieves Strike Again in The Sims 4

After a decade of tranquility in The Sims universe, burglars are making their notorious return to prey on unsuspecting households!

The Sims 4 development team revealed this highly anticipated feature in their latest blog post - though not every player welcomes the prospect of home invasions.

Like previous editions, installing a security system remains the best defense. When activated, law enforcement will immediately respond to apprehend the intruder. Technically skilled Sims can upgrade these alarms to improve reliability and enable automatic police alerts. Without a security system, players can manually call the authorities or even try negotiating with the burglar.

Wealthier Sims have access to more creative solutions: unleashing guard dogs, deploying supernatural abilities (through expansion packs), or immobilizing criminals with futuristic technology. These specialized options, however, require owning specific game add-ons.

The good news? This burglary update is now live and completely free for all players.
