Blood Of Dawnwalker Dev Explains Studio Exit, Launches New Venture

Following the releases of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, not all CD Projekt RED veterans remained with the company. Some chose to pursue The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Recently revealed, The Blood of Dawnwalker is developed by Rebel Wolves studio, founded by a CD Projekt RED veteran.

Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, explaining his departure from CDPR, highlighted key reasons:

The desire to pursue different creative avenues with friends led to the formation of Rebel Wolves. Their shared passion for RPGs and their history is undeniable, but they believe RPG conventions can be significantly enhanced and expanded upon. They conceived innovative, even radical, ideas. The difficulty of convincing a large corporation to embrace such novel concepts, particularly with new intellectual property, ultimately led to the decision to establish their own studio. This approach, while involving risk due to the untested nature of their solutions, allows for a different working dynamic.

Unlike the complexities of large studios, Rebel Wolves prioritizes interpersonal relationships and collaboration. Tomaszkiewicz believes a smaller team fosters superior communication, simpler vision alignment, and easier access to that crucial "creative fire" needed to forge something truly unique.
