Baldur's Gate 3 Stress Test Open: Crossplay Available
Crossplay is finally coming to Baldur's Gate 3! Patch 8, slated for release in 2025, will introduce this highly anticipated feature. Before the full launch, Larian Studios is conducting a stress test in January 2025, giving select players early access to crossplay and other Patch 8 improvements.
When Will Baldur's Gate 3 Crossplay Launch?
While a precise date for Patch 8 remains unannounced, the January 2025 stress test will offer a sneak peek at cross-platform play for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players. This early access period will help Larian identify and address potential bugs before the wider release.
How to Participate in the Patch 8 Stress Test:
To potentially join the stress test and experience crossplay ahead of schedule, register through Larian's official Stress Test sign-up form. A Larian account is required. The registration process is simple, requesting basic player information including your preferred platform.
Important Note: Registration doesn't guarantee selection. Successful applicants will receive an email with further instructions. Selected participants will be able to provide feedback via feedback forms and Discord.
Beyond Crossplay:
The stress test will also assess the patch's impact on mods. Mod users are encouraged to participate to ensure their favorite modifications remain compatible after the update.
Group Play:
Remember, all players in your Baldur's Gate 3 group must register for the stress test to utilize the crossplay functionality. Otherwise, you'll need to wait for the full release.
Baldur's Gate 3's enduring popularity and strong community make the addition of crossplay a significant event, promising to unite even more players in the exploration of Faerûn.
