ARK 2-Year Roadmap Unveiled

ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This ambitious plan for the Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved includes new maps, creatures, and significant technical upgrades.

The roadmap kicks off with a crucial technical update in March 2025, transitioning the game to UE5.5. This upgrade promises substantial performance enhancements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation. This update also lays the groundwork for individually downloadable DLC map packs, significantly reducing the game's overall install size.

Following the UE5 update, a steady stream of content is planned:

  • April 2025: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, a Bison (free creature), and a Fantastic Tame.
  • June 2025: A new premium map (details to be announced).
  • August 2025: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and a Fantastic Tame.
  • April 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
  • August 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
  • December 2026: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
  • Throughout 2026: Three additional Fantastic Tames will be released.

The roadmap highlights a commitment to both free and paid content, balancing community requests with new premium experiences. While the roadmap offers a broad overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential additional surprises throughout the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a polished, performant, and engaging ARK experience for players.
