Battle of Sudoku: A Multiplayer Sudoku Showdown!

Do you love Sudoku and crave a competitive edge? Battle of Sudoku pits you against other players or teams in a thrilling multiplayer experience. The goal remains the classic Sudoku challenge: fill a 9x9 grid with digits so each column, row, and 3x3 subgrid contains all digits from 1 to 9.

Before diving in, adjust the difficulty (1-6, 1 being easiest, 6 hardest) in the game options. This sets the initial numbers, providing a shared starting point for all players. Everyone receives the identical puzzle.

Two game modes are available, configurable in the options:

• "Show Correct Numbers": Each correctly placed number is visible to all players, earning you points. However, you can't use a number already placed by another player. Speed and accuracy are key!
• "Hide Correct Numbers": Players can't see each other's correct entries. This allows for simultaneous use of the same numbers, adding a strategic layer to the competition.

Time-Outs: Incorrect entries result in a time-out, preventing further actions while opponents continue. The time-out duration is customizable (default: 30 seconds).

Scoring: Correct numbers earn points based on the difficulty level; higher levels yield more points per correct entry. Incorrect entries deduct half the points you'd have gained for a correct placement.

Winning the Game: The game ends when the puzzle is solved. In "Show Correct Numbers" mode, the player with the most points wins. In "Hide Correct Numbers" mode, the game ends when one player solves the puzzle, though this doesn't grant extra points; other players can still win by having fewer incorrect entries.

Team Play vs. Individual Play: A team mode lets two teams compete. Join a team (1 or 2) upon entry. If at least two players join a team, they become part of that team. Points are added to the team's total score, and notes/filled colors are shared among teammates, enabling collaborative strategies.

Solving Tools: A toolbar under the puzzle offers tools to aid your solving process:

• Pen Tool: Add notes (mini-numbers) to empty squares. Selecting a number already present in a square removes it.
• Fill Mode: Change the background color of any square (including solved ones).
