Receive alerts whenever the AuroraWatch status level changes, indicating the probability of aurora visibility in the UK.

Check the current alert status and review the past 24 hours of activity. A 30-minute forecast model from the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) is also included.

Important Notes:

• AuroraWatch UK is not a precise forecasting tool; it provides alerts based on geomagnetic activity levels.
• Ensure your phone's battery saver mode isn't interfering with push notifications. Check your device's notification settings to verify that AuroraWatch UK alerts are enabled.
• Alerts are not sent retroactively. If your phone is offline when a status increase occurs and subsequently drops before the next data update, you won't receive an alert.
• A delay exists before alerts are sent to allow the data to stabilize, as recommended by Lancaster University.
• Alerts primarily utilize data from the Lancaster magnetometer, leading to potentially more conservative alerts for those further north in the UK. This prioritizes accuracy for those in England.
