It also boasts a peak HDR brightness of around 1,000 nits for full-screen whites and well over 1,000 nits for highlights, making it ideal for HDR. Plus, it uses quantum dots for enhanced color coverage, perfect for creators.

The secret lies in its mini-LED backlight with 1,152 local dimming zones, around twice as many as its nearest competitor. This allows it to perform similarly to monitors more than twice its price. While blooming is present, it's reduced compared to other monitors in this price range, and the blacks are deep and rich, with highlights and colors that pop. The experience is remarkably close to OLED without the usual risks.

To keep costs down, it lacks extra features like a USB hub or KVM and has few gaming features in its OSD. If you need precise color accuracy, you'll want to calibrate it with a colorimeter. Despite these minor limitations, it's an absolute steal.
