Supercell Revives Project with Project R.I.S.E.
Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed a new project: Project R.I.S.E. This isn't simply a revival, but a complete reimagining.
The Full Story:
Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, its core concept lives on in Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite within the Clash universe.
Supercell's announcement video features game lead Julien Le Cadre stating that while Clash Heroes is cancelled, Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG, a significant departure from its predecessor.
For more details, watch the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. shares some DNA with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social experience, where three players collaborate to ascend The Tower, a procedurally generated structure with unique challenges on each floor. Unlike the solo PvE focus of Clash Heroes, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative gameplay and diverse character selection.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is scheduled for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration for a chance to participate is open on the official website.
