Pokémon Sleep: Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Capture Guide
This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep
The Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Expect boosted encounter rates and bonus Dream Shards throughout the event. Shiny versions will also be available.
Catching Pawmi
Pawmi appears from 3 PM on December 23rd on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its sleep type is Snoozing, a common sleep type easily achieved. A Snoozing sleep research result significantly increases your chances of encountering Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot. While a Balanced sleep type might also yield Pawmi, the odds are lower. Remember, you can evolve Pawmi using Candies, but sleep type study requires wild encounters.
Catching Alolan Vulpix
Alolan Vulpix, also appearing from 3 PM on December 23rd, is rarer. It's found only on Snowdrop Tundra. Its sleep type is Slumbering, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter chances. Like Pawmi, a Balanced sleep type offers a less likely chance.
Best Island for the Holiday Event
For the best chance at both Alolan Vulpix and Pawmi, target Snowdrop Tundra during the event. However, be aware that Snowdrop Tundra has high team requirements, so prepare your team beforehand.
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
