Black Ops 6: Legacy XP Token Guide
The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone might have tools to accelerate this process. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens within Black Ops 6. These were quickly used to boost XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a subsequent November 15th patch addressed this, disabling the direct activation of Legacy XP Tokens within the Black Ops 6 interface, as noted in the Call of Duty blog.
These Legacy XP Tokens are unused XP tokens carried over from previous Call of Duty titles accessible through the COD HQ app, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone. These tokens were earned through various methods including DMZ Missions, Battle Pass Tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. While directly activating them in Black Ops 6 was temporarily disabled, they remain usable in Warzone.

Utilizing Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Initially, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP Tokens directly within Black Ops 6. This functionality was temporarily removed. The workaround involved activating the tokens in Warzone first. Once activated in Warzone, the token and its timer would then appear in the Black Ops 6 UI. While this required switching between games and tokens had real-time timers, it provided a method for faster leveling in Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
