Pokémon Go gets ready for the debut of Applin and Dynamax Entei later this month

Two exciting events are on the horizon for Pokémon Go players this April, featuring the debut of two Pokémon from the Galar region: the adorable Applin and the powerful Dynamax Entei.

Sweet Discoveries runs from April 24th to 29th, introducing the charming Dragon/Grass-type Applin. This event is perfect for those who enjoy the cuter side of Pokémon. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve Applin into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, particularly near Mossy Lures, and might even trigger Applin encounters.

During the event, you can encounter wild Pokémon like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer additional chances to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, allows you to earn Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid version offers extra Mossy Lure Modules and more encounters, including Applin.

For those who prefer raw power, the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th introduces Dynamax Entei. This event promises intense battles and the possibility of encountering a Shiny Entei.

Several bonuses will enhance your gameplay during these events. You'll benefit from an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance to collect them, and boosted Power Spot refresh rates. Additionally, you'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. To prepare, start the free Timed Research on April 21st, which rewards a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's fiery attacks.
