Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Confronting Global Folklore Horrors

Rifts are rarely good news in gaming, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated sequel to Cards, the Universe and Everything, titled Eerie Worlds. This tactical CCG plunges players into a world teeming with monsters emerging from these very rifts.

Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors.

The game boasts an impressively diverse roster, encompassing creatures from various cultures. Encounter Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, and Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others from around the globe populate the game's cards, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions.

Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating intricate tactical possibilities. Monsters share certain properties but not others, adding significant strategic depth.

Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. While starting with 160 basic cards, merging unlocks many more, with additional cards planned for release soon.

Avid Games has confirmed the arrival of two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds offers enduring replayability.

Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card. Battles unfold over nine 30-second turns, demanding strategic decisions concerning mana usage, synergy exploitation, and more.
