Marvel Rivals Adding Skin Based on Spider-Man 2 Game

Marvel Rivals Unveils New Spider-Man 2 Skin

Get ready, Marvel Rivals fans! A brand-new skin based on the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is swinging into the game on January 30th, coinciding with the PC launch of the acclaimed PlayStation title. This exciting addition comes as a surprise announcement from NetEase Games.

Alongside the Spider-Man skin, Marvel Rivals will also be dropping new skins for Mantis and Doctor Strange on January 17th.

Spider-Man, a five-star Duelist in Marvel Rivals, is known for his high damage output and challenging gameplay. His signature web-slinging and zip-line abilities allow for swift maneuvers in combat, making him a formidable opponent. Players can use his webs to ensnare foes, pull them closer, or deliver powerful uppercuts for a knockout. The current Season 1 Midnight Features quests even encourage players to utilize Spider-Man to earn rewards.

NetEase Games' Twitter announcement of the Advanced Suit 2.0 skin generated considerable excitement, particularly given that Yuri Lowenthal voices Spider-Man in both Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel Rivals. However, the reveal has also sparked debate among fans, weighing the appeal of the Advanced Suit 2.0 against a leaked Lunar New Year Spider-Man skin rumored for the game.

The Advanced Suit 2.0 Skin: A Closer Look

The iconic red and blue suit, highlighted by the large, white spider emblem synonymous with Insomniac Games' Spider-Man, is sure to be a popular addition. However, the price remains a point of concern for some players. While many legendary skins cost 2,200 Units, MCU skins, such as those for Spider-Man and Iron Man, have a higher price point of 2,600 Units.

Earning Units in Marvel Rivals

Players eager to acquire the new skin can quickly accumulate Units by completing the Heroic Journey achievements. These challenges offer rewards of up to 1,500 Units, along with skins for Storm and Star-Lord. These Units, combined with Lattice, can be used to purchase any skin available in the in-game shop. With a promising lineup of cosmetics on the horizon, the future of Marvel Rivals looks vibrant and exciting.
