Each hero boasts unique abilities, and randomized "Evolutions" dynamically alter these abilities throughout each match, demanding constant adaptation and strategic flexibility. Two core game modes define the Project ETHOS experience:

Trials: 2K's signature mode. Teams of three battle it out against both AI and human opponents, collecting Cores to unlock upgrades (Augments). Death means losing your Cores, adding a high-stakes element to each run. Join matches in progress and strategically choose when to cash in your Cores for maximum rewards.

Gauntlet: A classic competitive PvP tournament mode. Fight through brackets, upgrading your hero with each victory, until only one team remains. Elimination means waiting for the next round.
How to Participate in the Playtest:
The community playtest, currently limited to the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, runs from October 17th to 21st. Earn a playtest key by watching participating Twitch streams for 30 minutes. Alternatively, sign up on the official website for a chance to participate in future playtests.
