The Gothic 1 Remake demo has been released on Steam
To celebrate the launch of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. In a departure from the original Gothic, where players embodied the Nameless Hero, the remake introduces us to Nyras, a prisoner navigating the same perilous world with the same ultimate goal: survival.
The demo, released during the Steam Next Fest event, has already broken records for concurrent players, surpassing all previous entries in the Gothic series:

The showcased segment of the remake boasts enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and a revamped combat system, all powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a glimpse into these improvements, it can't fully capture the expansive freedom of action and intricate RPG mechanics that await players in the complete game.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and GOG. An official release date is yet to be announced, keeping fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
