God of War Ragnarok Marks 20 Years with Dark Odyssey Cosmetic Update Next Week

Sony and the acclaimed game developer Santa Monica Studio have unveiled the Dark Odyssey collection, a thrilling new update for God of War Ragnarök that is set to launch next week. This update introduces a suite of in-game equipment and cosmetics inspired by one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the God of War series.

In a detailed post on the PlayStation.Blog, Sony shared the exciting news about the upcoming free update, scheduled for March 20. The Dark Odyssey collection is a highlight of this update, offering an array of cosmetic items for God of War Ragnarök players on both PlayStation 5 and PC. The collection is themed in a sleek black-and-gold design, promising to enhance the visual appeal of Kratos and his companions as they navigate the realms of Norse mythology.

Not only does Kratos receive a stunning Dark Odyssey appearance and armor set, reminiscent of a legendary skin from God of War 2 that was exclusive to players who conquered the game on God Mode, but Atreus and Freya also get their own unique cosmetic sets. The update extends to a variety of shields and weapons, each receiving its own Dark Odyssey appearance, ensuring players can customize their gear extensively.
