Bug Out Event Returns with Sizzlipede Debut in Pokémon Go

The much-anticipated Bug Out event is making a comeback to Pokémon Go, heralding a flurry of Bug-type Pokémon and introducing the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Mark your calendars for March 26th to 30th, as this event promises a plethora of wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and exciting new challenges that will keep you engaged and entertained.

Lure Modules will be your best friend during the Bug Out event. Not only will they draw Sizzlipede to your location, but if you manage to catch enough Pokémon at a single PokéStop using a Lure Module, you'll see an increase in Pokémon appearances there. This can be a game-changer for your hunting strategy.

The event sweetens the deal with 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, alongside an increased chance of earning Candy XL for trainers at level 31 and above. If you're on the hunt for Shiny Pokémon, you'll be pleased to know that your chances of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are boosted during this period.

Expect to see a swarm of Bug-types in the wild, including frequent sightings of Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out, as you might just encounter the elusive Cutiefly.

Sizzlipede will take the stage in one-star raids, joined by Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor command the three-star raids. Tackle event-themed Field Research tasks for a chance to earn Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event-specific Pokémon.

Don't miss out on the free Timed Research, which offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module to boost your hunting efforts. For those willing to spend a bit more, the Paid Timed Research at $2 (or the local equivalent) promises encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, along with two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.
