Quick Links
Baldur's Gate 3 offers a wealth of romance options, but some, like the encounter with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress, are easily missed. This quick romance unfolds during a pivotal moment in the game, making it a hidden gem for many players. This guide will detail how to find Naoise and navigate this unique romantic encounter.
Where to Find Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
### Reaching Sharess' Caress in Act III:
To meet Naoise, you must progress to the early stages of Act III. While traveling towards Baldur's Gate, you'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing. Your first visit to this town will involve meeting Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a brothel located on the eastern side of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate. If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, use the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing fast-travel point for direct access to Sharess' Caress.
Locating the Nymph's Grotto:
Naoise resides in the Nymph's Grotto, a chamber on the second floor. Look for a door with a green light and ivy—it's locked, but easily pickable with a lockpicking roll of 10 or higher.

### Initiating the Interaction:
Inside, you'll find Naoise with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier, engaged in an intimate moment. Interrupting them will provoke Jara, who, upon speaking, will trigger a tadpole interaction with your character. Jara's subsequent confrontation presents several dialogue options. One effective approach is to respond with:
- "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
This leads to Jara's transformation into a Mindflayer, requiring you to defeat her. Afterwards, Naoise reveals her unexpected attraction to Mindflayers. To progress the romance, consider these responses:
- "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."
This indicates Naoise's readiness for a different kind of encounter. A successful Insight check further confirms her romantic interest. Continue with:
- "That creature aroused you, didn't it?"
Avoid judgmental responses. Naoise expresses openness to a different "flavor" of encounter. Choosing:
- "What did you have in mind?"
- "Close your eyes and listen"
leads to a mental romance scene. Naoise will ask you to choose "what you will be," offering several options:
- Revered
- Contented
- Powerful
- Rich
- I think we're done here.
Selecting "Contented," for example, initiates the brief romance scene. This encounter is unique; Naoise will not pursue further interaction after this single event. Returning later will only yield an offer of "rapture" once. Note that even with an existing relationship (like with Karlach in our example), this encounter doesn't seem to cause conflict with other companions.
Shadowheart will reward you with the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point after the encounter. The successful romance with Naoise grants the Rapture boon, a passive 1d6 bonus to most ability checks.
