El 9 de abril, Sega recurrió a Twitter (X) para revelar que Sonic Rumble se lanzará en todo el mundo el 8 de mayo de 2025. Acompañando este anuncio había un nuevo avance que mostraba un examen de juego emocionante.

Sonic Rumble marca el juego inaugural de fiesta multijugador de la franquicia, lo que permite que hasta 32 jugadores compitan entre sí en variados niveles y desafíos.
