Paradox Interactive ha revelado detalles iniciales sobre su próxima expansión Crusader Kings 3, centrada en los gobernantes nómadas. Este DLC presenta un nuevo sistema de gobernanza diseñado específicamente para los pueblos nómadas, incorporando una moneda única: "Herd". El tamaño del rebaño del gobernante influye directamente en su autoridad, impactando el poder militar, la composición de la unidad de caballería, las relaciones con los vasallos y otras mecánicas de juego central.

El estilo de vida nómada requiere un movimiento constante, un elemento clave reflejado en la expansión. Los jefes se reubicarán estratégicamente, sus decisiones conformadas por las interacciones con poblaciones establecidas, eligiendo entre negociación y desplazamiento contundente.

Además, los gobernantes comandarán yurtas móviles, similares a los campamentos de aventureros, que se pueden actualizar con varios componentes que ofrecen ventajas distintas.

La expansión también incluye ciudades icónicas de yurtas que el transporte de reyes nómadas, reflejando la funcionalidad de los campamentos de aventureros. Estos asentamientos móviles se pueden mejorar con estructuras adicionales, cada una proporcionando beneficios únicos.
