Escape the Cursed Forest: A Simple Non-Field RPG

Embark on a unique non-field RPG adventure as a skilled hunter trapped in a cursed forest. Your goal? Escape! This minimalist RPG features intuitive controls, requiring at most three buttons outside the main menu.

Prologue: You, the village's best hunter, journey to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. Upon waking after your first night camping, you discover a disturbing scene: the tournament grounds are deserted. The forest itself seems to twist and turn, leading you back to the same locations, defying your excellent sense of direction. This is no ordinary wilderness.

The Elven Curse: With the aid of a mysterious quarter-elf named Foria, you'll uncover the secrets of the "Elven Curse" plaguing the forest. Foria, despite their youthful appearance, claims to be older than you and offers cryptic assistance.

Character Creation: While character customization is limited, you can reroll your stats as often as needed before the game begins. Stat increases upon leveling are only visible on this screen, making careful planning crucial. Remember, you lose your character if your life force drops to zero and you're below two "talismans".

Gameplay:

• Exploration: Navigate the forest by exploring unexplored areas. The success of each exploration attempt is influenced by "fog depth" and your character's stats. Running out of life force? Use poison or rare talismans to recover, or return to Foria for aid.
• Combat: Face fierce creatures—from wolves and wild dogs to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides, which can be traded with Foria. Unlike traditional RPGs, combat isn't about leveling up; it's about survival. Battles are avoidable, but require either luck or strategic play. As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow, requiring distance to attack effectively. Closing the gap risks a one-sided attack, forcing a choice between withdrawing or using a flash ball (provided by Foria) for escape.
• Cloak System: Craft a layered cloak from gathered materials (branches, resin, leather) to enhance your abilities. Multiple layers increase stat boosts. However, the outer layer can be damaged and destroyed.
