Described as a detective drama in the vein of "True Detective" and "Slow Horses," "Lanterns" will follow Jordan and Stewart as they investigate a murder that spirals into a far more complex and sinister conspiracy. The series is officially part of James Gunn's reimagined DC Universe, alongside projects like "Creature Commando" and the upcoming films "Superman" and "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow."

Kasama sa creative team ng palabas sina Damon Lindelof ("Nawala"), Chris Mundy, at Tom King. Gunn has emphasized the series' grounded and realistic approach, promising a tone that subverts expectations: "very grounded, very believable, very real.
