WoW Housing: new details shared by Blizzard

World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is slated for a 2025 release, with Blizzard recently unveiling initial details. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of subscription status, and will not involve complicated acquisition processes like high costs or lotteries. This feature is set to debut with the Midnight expansion.

Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: Alliance players will find options in Elwynn Forest, incorporating elements from Westfall and Duskwood; Horde players will have access to Durotar, featuring aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline.

These zones are further divided into districts, each accommodating approximately 50 homes. Players can choose to establish their residence in an open area or create a private community with friends and guild members. A vast array of customization options will be available, with most obtainable in-game, while some will be offered through the in-game shop.

Blizzard emphasizes three core principles guiding the housing system's design: extensive customization, robust social interaction, and enduring longevity. Further details regarding the housing system are promised in the future, and player feedback is currently welcomed.
