Nightdive Studios anuncia el cambio de marca oficial de su proyecto como System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster , devolviendo la vida a un clásico juego de rol de ciencia ficción. Esta versión actualizada llegará a PC (Steam y Gog), PlayStation 4 y 5, Xbox One & Series X/S y Nintendo Switch.

La fecha de lanzamiento se revelará el 20 de marzo de 2025, durante el Future Games Show: Spring Showcase. Esta marca una oportunidad significativa para que una nueva generación de jugadores experimente este título que define el género.

Lanzado originalmente en 1999, System Shock 2 mezcla el horror de supervivencia y los elementos de RPG para crear un juego histórico. El remaster promete retener la atmósfera escalofriante al tiempo que mejora las imágenes y los aspectos técnicos para una experiencia de juego moderna.

Nightdive Studios, reconocido por su trabajo en la franquicia System Shock (incluido el remaster de System Shock 2 2013 y el reciente remake del juego original), inicialmente planificó un lanzamiento simultáneo con el remake System Shock . Los retrasos en el desarrollo, sin embargo, condujeron a un cronograma de lanzamiento revisado.
