Pokémon Scarlet y Violet se han convertido en algunos de los juegos de Pokémon más vendidos de todos los tiempos. Según Joe Merrick, el webmaster de Serebii.net , e informado por Eurogamer , las ventas combinadas de estos dos títulos han superado los 25 millones de copias. Esta figura los coloca sobre todos los otros juegos de Pokémon desde el Pokémon Red/Green/Blue original, que vendió 31.4 millones de copias tras su lanzamiento en 1996 para el Game Boy.

En términos de ventas, Scarlet/Violet ha superado la espada/escudo, asegurando el segundo lugar con 26,790,000 unidades vendidas en comparación con las 26,720,000 de Sword/Shield. La lista de los cinco principales se completa con Gold/Silver and Diamond/Pearl, con ventas de 23.7 millones y 16.7 millones de copias, respectivamente.
