El reinicio de HBO 'Harry Potter' lanzado como 'Spectacular'

Chris Columbus, director de las películas originales de Harry Potter, elogia el próximo reinicio de HBO como una "idea espectacular". Él cree que el formato de serie ofrece una ventaja significativa sobre las limitaciones de las películas.

En una entrevista con People, Columbus explicó las limitaciones impuestas por los tiempos de ejecución relativamente cortos de Harry Potter y la piedra del hechicero y Harry Potter y la Cámara de los Secretos . Mientras que el equipo de cine se esforzó por incorporar la mayor cantidad de material fuente posible, las limitaciones de tiempo inevitablemente dieron como resultado omisiones.

"Creo que es una idea espectacular porque hay una cierta restricción cuando estás haciendo una película", dijo Columbus. Señaló la longitud de las películas, aproximadamente dos horas y cuarenta minutos cada una, destacando la oportunidad que presenta la serie: "El hecho de que tienen el ocio de \ [múltiples ]episodios para cada libro ... puedes obtener todas las cosas en el Serie que no tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer ... todas estas grandes escenas que simplemente no pudimos poner en las películas ".

Anunciada en abril de 2023, la adaptación de HBO promete una representación fiel y profunda de las novelas, superando las limitaciones inherentes a las películas de dos horas. Francesca Gardiner y Mark Mylod, productores de sucesión (con Mylod también contribuyendo a Game of Thrones ), dirigirán el proyecto como directores y escritores.

El casting está actualmente en marcha para el trío central de Harry, Ron y Hermione. Con respecto al papel de Dumbledore, Gary Oldman, quien interpretó a Sirius Black en las películas originales, sugirió con humor que su edad ahora podría ser adecuada para el director de Hogwarts.
