Ben Affleck Renuncia al Papel de Batman Tras una Reflexión

Autor : Patrick Actualizar : Nov 02,2025

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck has candidly discussed the grueling challenges he faced portraying DC's Caped Crusader.

In a recent GQ interview, the actor reflected on his decade-long journey as Batman, describing his tenure as the face of the Snyder-verse as "painfully difficult." He revealed how strained relationships with DC executives ultimately diminished his passion for superhero films.

"Several factors made this experience overwhelmingly tough," Affleck explained. "It wasn't just about working on a superhero project. While that chapter's closed for me, it's not solely due to negative experiences—I've simply moved on creatively. I wouldn't repeat that journey, though."

While Affleck has touched on this subject previously, new details emerge about the root causes. He primarily attributes the struggles to "clashing visions and mismatched expectations," while acknowledging personal accountability. Looking back, he admits, "I wasn't contributing my best work during that period."

"Audiences can critique my performances across those films," Affleck continued. "But my biggest regret was bringing personal unhappiness to set daily. I showed up professionally, but without enthusiasm—that wasn't fair to the project."

Affleck's DC journey began with Batman v. Superman alongside Henry Cavill, evolving through Justice League iterations (including the 2021 Snyder Cut) and culminating in The Flash. His Batman also made surprise appearances in 2016's Suicide Squad.

The shelved standalone Batman film remains shrouded in mystery, though leaks suggest potential Arkham Asylum exploration and Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke involvement.

Affleck credits both Matt Damon and his son for convincing him to retire the cape. "When my own child found Batman v. Superman too intense, I realized we'd alienated younger fans," he revealed.

"Creative clashes worsened when the studio prioritized youth appeal while filmmakers pursued darker themes. That fundamental disconnect spelled disaster."

As DC pivots toward separating mature and family-friendly content—with The Batman 2 arriving in 2027 and James Gunn's Superman rebooting the franchise this summer—Affleck confirms he won't return to direct in Gunn's new DCU.
